Define an Access Name— Connect InTouch to I/O

This lab demonstrates how to:

  • Define an Access Name
  • Each PLC uses a specific protocol to communicate with the I/O Server or DA Server. InTouch then uses an Access Name to continue this communication. Access Names are selected in the Tagname Dictionary for each tag used in the application.

In this lab, you will create an Access Name that will act as a link between the InTouch tags and an I/O Server.
